printmaking
Printmaking is similar to many other art mediums but it has the unique ability of creating identical works (with the exception of the monotype). Take a Second Look is composed of printmaking artists of all levels who are exploring the creativity and magic within the inks. Although themes with the works vary, each artist has the ability to create levels with technical, conceptual and technical adjustments.
So go ahead and take a second look. Whitney Roberts

The Long Room and Media Space
painting and installation
This body of work and installation explore modern concepts of the self portrait making a direct reference to digital photography. The zoomed and cropped paintings show only sections of the face, hair or pattern giving this simple subject matter a more intimate and decorative appeal. The installation follows a similar theme of exploring and defining the self. Samantha Galletly

The work is the culmination of a research project I have been involved in over a number of years. The research project explores and highlights the significance of 'process' in the act of creating a work. What is finally exhibited is the end result of a very intimate collaborative relationship between myself, the medium, and the particular period of time we spent together. Camille Kersley

In a collaboration crossing both Ahn and Jessica’s art practice, the utility and purpose of the chair is suggested through the lethargy invoked in the slumped or tired form of soft sculpture. With reference to traditional craft practice, the process of crochet and collaboration between women artists to create structure is examined in this show, place. Ahn Wells and Jessica Coughlan

Frogs are the barometer: indicators of the Earth’s global well being. The increasing pollution and global warming and increasing human impact are evident when frogs are starting to decline and disappear forever. Time is running out now so recording them is vital while scientist race against time to find answers, converse them for next generation…but are we too late? Riona Tindal
