31 OCTOBER – 18 NOVEMBER

HONOURS 2012

Honours 2012 features the final work of five artists who have completed their studies with cohesive bodies of work, now presented for exhibition and examination.

Bliss Cavanagh’s project investigates the therapeutic potential of multi-sensory environments in relieving the compulsions of Tourette Syndrome.

Emily Coutts considers the social construction of public and private spaces, through subtle works that utilise the expressive characteristics of materials such as felt and wood.

Jayde Nicholls traces the nostalgic forces of collective memory through her haunting photographs of an abandoned Drive-in Theatre.

Shan Turner-Carroll crowns members of his family in a series of photographic portraits that embrace the strength of primordial spirit.

Delicate enclosures of printed paper have been assembled by Teliece Wallace to explore the complexity of family bonds and homes that are not always inviting.

The artists invite you to celebrate with them on the Opening Night, November 1 from 6:30pm.

The exhibitions continue until 5pm Sunday 18 November.
