Under the sun - a moment on the planet

Tomoko Iwahashi - The Loading Dock

Looking at small things around us carefully, and finding out their new sense of being. It's not ordinary, it's not boring, we've just missed something new and special in their existences. I'm trying to capture things which happen every day in our life with new perspective.

Reflections

Adam Hendriksen and Gail Francis - The Locker Room

A collection of paintings that are reflections of places, feelings, movements, and of oneself. The place of Newcastle and the port is a heavy influence. Reflecting on people in different times and places whose lives sometimes reflect our own.

Sex objects (and the 'f' word)

Trine Deans and Kate Parker - The Hoist and the Kitchen

By recreating an interactive 1950's styled interior and presenting domestic objects as re-contextualised sexual sculptures, we use comedy and performance to explore generation Y feminism and the female queer.

All the right notes, not necessarily in the right order

Mark Berryman - The Pit

I don't have much to say about the work.
I'm interested in painting and drawing. The work starts out as being figurative or landscape based and then the paint takes over if I'm lucky.
