As we become more aware of our impact on the environment, many art makers are rethinking the type of materials they use in their works; they are reusing found objects, mixing materials and disciplines, using old stuff, new stuff, recycling.

The Watt Space Open Show is about first time exhibitors getting involved with Watt Space and having a bit of fun making a work on a particular theme devised by the curators.  There are prizes and judges to add to the excitement!

Any currently enrolled student of the University of Newcastle can enter.

And then the artworks are due to the gallery on Sunday 13 May 6-8pm & Monday 14 May 9 -12 noon.
Opening Night is on Thursday 17 May.
