Music Technology may be studied at the undergraduate level as part of the Conservatorium's Bachelor of Music program. The program is a three year degree which qualifies students in music performance, composition, church music, or studio teaching.
All students undertake a compulsory 10 unit course (Fundamental Music Technology) in their first semester of study. Students may also undertake Music Technology electives (10 units each) as part of their program. These currently include Sound Engineering, Film Music: Soundtrack Creation, Advanced Music Publishing and
Instructional Music Sofware.
Music Technology may also be studied as a double major in addition to the study of an instrument, composition, church music or studio teaching. This requires students to undertake a range of Music Technology electives in addition to a technical studies class. The Music Technology double major strand culminates in a Music Technology Project (normally undertaken in the final semester of study).
