Recording of Music Performance Examinations
(For Use by Internal University Students Only)
Can Examinations Be Recorded?
How Do I Request a Recording?
- MA, MCA, PhD and MPhil music performance examinations are recorded and paid for by the University. These recordings need to be co-ordinated with the Music Production staff.
- Persons enrolled in all other music programs (including Bachelor of Music) must submit a request if a recording of their music performance examination is desired for research/study purposes
- The University reserves the right to refuse recording requests
- Requests may only be made for music performance examinations held in the Conservatorium Concert Hall
- Online requests should be made at least one week prior to the date of the music performance examination using the online form at the bottom of this page. A signed Recording Declaration form and Cashier Receipt number must be submitted no later than 48 hours before a recital to ensure the recording is scheduled.
What are the Fees?
The current schedule of fees (cost-recovery) is shown below. All charges include GST.

How Do I Pay?
- Payment must be made with a University Cashier prior to the recording and the receipt number submitted at least 48 hours prior to your recital
- Payments can be made at the Conservatorium Main Office (ground floor). Payment is for an "Examination Recording". (Please be aware of the Cashiers operating hours.)
- An official receipt must be obtained
How Do I Collect the Recording?
- Recordings can only be collected from Nathan Scott (CON2:02). Other staff or students are not permitted to issue recordings.
- Recordings must be collected in person. (Postal service is not available.)
- Recordings are normally available within 7 days of an examination
- Recordings will only be held for collection for a period of four weeks. Uncollected recordings will be disposed of
- Recordings are made onto CD-R discs. These are playable in computer CD/DVD-ROM drives and most CD/DVD players.
- All recordings are "reference" recordings containing limited or no editing.
- Please ensure you submit the following items prior to your recital:
- An official Cashier Receipt Number
