Music Technology at Newcastle is a division of the School of Drama, Fine Art and Music, located within the Faculty of Education and Arts at the University of Newcastle.

The School of Drama, Fine Art and Music was formed in 2005 with the merging of the School of Fine Art and School of Music and Drama (incorporating the Conservatorium). The Conservatorium is part of Newcastle's culture. Originally formed as a branch of the New South Wales State Conservatorium of Music in 1952, it has grown to be the largest regional music institution in Australia. It regularly holds concerts and other music-related events that are open to the public (including Music Technology workshops).
