The Yapug university pathway program at the University of Newcastle is open to people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.

Who can apply?

If you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, and will be at least 18 years of age in the year you commence Yapug, you can apply to enter the program. You don't have to meet the requirements for entry to university or have any prior experience. You only need to provide confirmation of Aboriginality, and you're on your way to uni.

To establish your status as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander you will need to complete the Confirmation of Aboriginality and/or Torres Strait Islander Status Form and submit it with a certified copy of documentation from an incorporated or other organisation from the community in which you live or have lived, such as a Land Council.
