PREP085 - Advanced UoN Computing

This course provides hands on experience for the advanced computer user. The course offers a faster pace and more in-depth understanding than the Essential UoN Computing course. It will provide valuable skills for accessing your online learning system and submission of assignments.

The two sessions comprise:

Session 1 (3 hours)

  1. Blackboard - University of Newcastle Online Learning System
  2. Turnitin - an electronic text-matching tool which gives you individualised feedback on referencing contained in your written work. 

Session 2 (3 hours)

  1. Advanced Microsoft Word
  2. EndNote referencing software

Students need to bring their student number and computer access account password to class. It is also recommended that students provide a USB device for storage of work.
