PREP084 - Essential UoN Computing Systems
This course provides a hands on experience for beginner computer users. This course introduces all necessary university computing skills. Whatever your choice of study program, the ability to access and manage university computer systems will help you succeed.
The two sessions comprise:
Session One (3 hours)
- Introduction to the University of Newcastle computing environment - UONline, MyHub, NUmail, printing, intranet
- Blackboard - University of Newcastle online learning system
Session Two (3 hours)
- File management skills
- Microsoft Word
Students need to bring their student number and computer access account password to class. It is also recommended that students provide a USB device for storage of work.
