Newcastle campus (Callaghan)
Set on 140 hectares of bushland, our Newcastle campus (Callaghan) is regarded as one of the most naturally beautiful in Australia. You'll find state-of-the-art facilities surrounded by native trees and wildlife - creating a tranquil environment for study like none other.
There's always something going on at our Newcastle campus. Make sure you take time out to recharge with a great coffee, grab a bite to eat or meet up with friends at one of our many cafes, bars or cafeterias.
Situated in close proximity to the beach and city, the Newcastle campus is a convenient place to study. The campus is easily accessible by both car and public transport - buses run through the campus, a train station is a short walk away, the F3 Freeway is close by and on-campus parking is available.
Newcastle is a great place to live - great shopping centres, restaurants and some of the most breathtaking beaches in Australia, just minutes away from campus.
The Godfrey Tanner Bar and Bar on the Hill at our Newcastle campus are great places to hang out and relax. Play a game of pool or trivia, enjoy a drink or coffee, grab a bit to eat and listen to some tunes while enjoying the indoor and outdoor spaces.
An icon on the Newcastle's famous music scene, Bar on the Hill has been rocked by performers such as Powder Finger, Art vs Science, Angus and Julia Stone, Boy and Bear, Little Red, Josh Pyke, Architecture in Helsinki, Bagraiders, Augie March, Franzal Rhomb, Bliss N Eso, Eskimo Joe, and the Hilltop Hoods, to name a few.

Newcastle city precinct
Depending on what you study, you may take classes at our Newcastle city precinct located in the Newcastle CBD.
The Conservatorium (part of our School of Creative Arts) is located near the Civic Centre precinct, while the Newcastle Legal Centre and Newcastle Business School are located in University House opposite Civic Park - both just steps away from cafes and boutiques on Newcastle's famous Darby Street.
Our Newcastle city precinct will soon also be home to New Space, $95 million landmark education development that will harness the latest in technology and innovation in teaching and learning to deliver a world-class student experience by engaging students in new and exciting ways.
Central Coast campus (Ourimbah)
Our Central Coast campus (Ourimbah) offers modern facilities with a beautiful bushland backdrop.
More than $20 million has recently been spent building new state-of-the-art facilities including new teaching and learning spaces for our degrees in exercise and sport science, teaching and nursing. The library has also received a substantial extension including a new-look 24-hour access computer lab.
Several degrees are offered exclusively at our Central Coast campus including podiatry, food science and human nutrition, exercise and sport science, and oral health.
Located approximately half-way between Newcastle and Sydney, the Central Coast offers the best of both worlds. Divide your time between study, shopping, sports and spectacular beaches.
Our Central Coast campus is small enough to be friendly but big enough to be a place of excellence. As a smaller campus, you'll get the opportunity to build a close connection with your lecturers and benefit from personalised support.
The quad is the ideal place to relax on the grass, read a book, or enjoy a coffee. Speaking of coffee, there are two on-campus cafes and smaller coffee stations scattered around the grounds. You can also take advantage of the cafeteria, bookshop and stationery retailer.
Whether you want to drive to uni or catch public transport, our Central Coast campus is ultra-convenient - there's onsite parking and Ourimbah train station is just a short stroll away.
Port Macquarie campus
You'll find our Port Macquarie campus in the heart of this rapidly growing seaside city located on the NSW North Coast.
The campus has a dynamic student community and is well equipped to support you while you study one of the three degrees on offer - primary teaching, nursing and midwifery.
Located three hours drive north of Newcastle, the campus is shared by the University of Newcastle and TAFE NSW - North Coast Institute.
The campus is well-equipped to support you while you study, offering a great library, learning assistance, counselling, careers advice, disability support and online services.
There is also a great cafeteria, bookshop and stationery retailer on-campus.
In Sydney our teaching facility is located in the heart of Australia's iconic international city, the campus is just a stone's throw from Darling Harbour and Chinatown.
Study breaks can be filled with sensational food, great shopping and endless entertainment possibilities.
The campus offers state-of-the-art and purpose-built facilities including 70-seat lecture theatres, tutorial rooms and a library. Study areas and the student common are ideal for private study, meeting peers for group work, or simply taking time to relax.
The University of Newcastle in Singapore is conveniently located near Tiong Bahru MRT station, right in the middle of one of the city's most fun, interesting and quirky regions.
Home to 1500 students, the campus sits alongside the delights of the Tiong Bahru Market and the famous shopping of Tiong Bahru Plaza.
The 19,000 square metre campus is comprised of state-of-the-art facilities including a fully equipped library, computer and science laboratories, comfortable lecture rooms and meeting rooms, as well as quiet and peaceful study rooms.
