How to Apply

On-time applications

All applications to study at the University of Newcastle are submitted through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC).  We have more than 90 degrees for you to choose from.

On-time applications close at midnight on 30 September. You can apply after this date but a late fee will apply.


You've worked hard to achieve outstanding results so we'd like to take the guesswork out of getting in to uni. Our High ATAR Guarantee means that if you choose UON as your first preference and receive an ATAR of 90 or above, we guarantee you an offer to study in 2015.

Students can apply for Honours in the final year of their undergraduate degree. To be accepted for entry, you must have successfully completed an undergraduate degree and have a Credit grade point average (GPA). Speak to the Program Convenor in your faculty about meeting specific requirements and complete the Direct Admission Form.


Postgraduate applications are made online through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) or through the University of Newcastle's dedicated hub for postgraduate students, GradSchool.
