On-time applications

All applications to study at the University of Newcastle are submitted through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC).  

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

HONOURS

There are two types of honours at the University of Newcastle:

  • Embedded honours - means the requirements are embedded into and completed as part of a bachelor degree. There is no additional year added to your degree and you do not have to apply separately to complete with honours. All four-year bachelor degrees at the University of Newcastle have embedded honours and are described as Bachelor (Honours) degrees.
  • End-on honours - is an additional year of study following completion of your bachelor degree. Most of our three year degrees have end-on honours available. If your degree offers end-on honours you can apply in the final year of your degree. Check the specific degree for how to apply. Usually you will need contact the Program Convenor and complete the Direct Admission Form.

POSTGRADUATE COURSEWORK

Postgraduate applications are made online through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) or through the University of Newcastle's dedicated hub for postgraduate students, GradSchool.
