What you need to do about AQF

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is a national policy that needs to be complied with to secure the future of your program.

There will be serious consequences for the programs who do not document AQF compliance for self-accreditation purposes.

All paperwork needs to be submitted on time to relevant committees, otherwise your program may be registered as non-compliant which is likely to lead to a drop in enrolments and will put your program and majors at risk.

Denial is not the solution

AQF is not going away. In fact, the University of Newcastle will be the first domestic university audited and the due dates for paperwork are as early as April this year.

You need to download the Graduate Learning Outcome Mapping Template and complete this together with your colleagues. Mapping must be completed for all undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

If you have any questions about the process or need assistance, please contact the QA Teaching and Learning Officer, Emma McKinlay or Assistant Dean (Teaching and Learning), Dr John Holdsworth.
