Zombies and Bollywood unite for Create 2308
There was something strange going on in the neighbourhood last week when zombies and Bollywood dancers descended on the Derkenne Courtyard to watch the screening of two student film productions.
As part of the University art festival, Create 2308, U Cinema showcased the zombie film One last Drink plus a Bollywood Music Video edit by Dr Vikrant Kishore and a student version.
The short films were a collaborative research project between Design, Communication and Information Technology academics, staff and students.
The films featured both students and non-students with most of the filming happening on campus.
Faculties also got on board for Create 2308 by decorating a large, fibreglass statue of the Hippocampus University logo. Science and Information Technology tried to showcase as many elements of the Faculty as possible through an earthy tail, a mathematical sleeve tattoo on one arm, a motherboard sleeve on the other and a mane of shredded newspaper with a psychology Psi symbol featured on its back.
