Faculty of Science and Information Technology Year 11 Excellence Awards

The Faculty of Science and Information Technology at the University of Newcastle is keen to encourage academic excellence in high school students. The Faculty provides an Excellence Award that recognises outstanding achievement by a Year 11 student in one of the following fields Communication, Design, Mathematics, Science or Information Technology which are key links to our teaching and research.

The Excellence Award includes a Certificate and a $50 Gift Voucher. An Encouragement Award is also offered to a student who has shown high achievement in the above disciplines.

If your school would like to participate please complete and return the Nomination Form by email, fax or mail by the return date to:

We understand that the Year 11 student may not be selected until later in the year. If this is the case, then return the form with out the student name. We are then able to use the returned forms to register your participation and to organise University staff presenters if requested.
