Business and Industry

Interactions between business, industry and the Faculty occur at five levels:

• Research
• Development
• Problem solving
• Product development
• Teaching

This interaction occurs at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Our research staff have strong links to both the locally based and Australia-wide computer industries, the wine industry, the waste industry and the mining industry.

In the next decade, the Faculty will promote and develop stronger links with industry with a view to increasing the amount of industry funded research. We also look to develop new startup companies from research findings of our staff, and fostering new directions in science based industries for the local region.
