Scholarships

There are a wide variety of scholarships available to students, both offered through the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment and at University level.

These include the Summer Research Scholarship, International Student Scholarships, UNISS, Scholarships for Continuing Undergraduate Students, Honours Scholarships and Research Higher Degrees scholarships.

Scholarships for Continuing Undergraduate Students

International Student Scholarships

This scholarship has been newly established to encourage international students to study a full-time undergraduate or pre-professional program at the Callaghan Campus.

A total of 12 scholarships are available covering an extensive array of educational study programs within the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, including Engineering, Surveying, Computer Science, Architecture and Construction Management.

Each scholarship provides the payment of 25% of the cost of a full year study fee, and is tenable for up to 5 years of full-time study (subject to continuing satisfactory academic progress).

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

The University of Newcastle Industry Scholarship Scheme offers an integrated scholarship program which combines degree studies with industry experience, together with financial support throughout your program.

Summer Research Scholarships

Would you like to work on a project with one of our internationally recognised research groups and get paid $3000 tax-free over 7 weeks?

Honours Scholarships
