Community Engagement

The Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment holds a range of community activities throughout the year. We recognise the importance of engaging and involving our stakeholders in all that we do. Community interaction and collaboration enriches our operations and makes a significant impact on our success. Keep a look out for the Faculty’s presence around town, you’ll never know where we’ll pop up.

Our staff and students benefit from participating in projects within the community, schools and industry. We create global citizens who are poised to make an incredible impact in the world around them. This outlook is fostered through mutually beneficial opportunities such as industrial experience, real-world projects, research and serving as mentors and inspiration for future students.

Through exciting demonstrations and practical experiences we hope that we will engage the next generation of talented students to pursue careers in engineering and the built environment. To achieve this, we host a range of activities for students in year 9 and above. One such example is the annual Science and Engineering Challenge which aims to show our areas of study in a new light. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to get involved.
