About the Faculty
Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment. Our Faculty offers a comprehensive range of degree programs, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, which bring together expertise in engineering, architecture, building, surveying, industrial design and computer science. We offer our degree programs at our Callaghan Campus in Newcastle; the Ourimbah Campus on the Central Coast of New South Wales; and in partnership with international institutions through TMC, Malaysia and PSB, Singapore.

We place great importance on research-led teaching and the solution of real world problems. Many of our academics are acknowledged for their expertise through teaching and research awards, whilst our teaching is enhanced through definitive and ground-breaking research. Students are actively engaged in our research at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

The faculty maintains professional accreditation for its degree programs and its graduates are well regarded by industry and employer groups, having regularly been rated amongst the most employable in the country and overseas, and enjoying some of the best starting salaries. We maintain close contact with our industry partners, with industry-based scholarships an important feature for most of our programs.
