Shan Turner-Carroll Wins National Student Art Prize
Recent School of Creative Arts graduate has taken out a $35,000 National Art Prize.
Shan Turner-Carroll, the Jennie Thomas Travelling Art scholar from 2012 and recent Bachelor of Fine Art Honours Graduate and Faculty medalist has won the $35,000 Doctor Harold Schenberg Art Prize as part of the 2013 Hatched national graduate exhibition. The photography graduate was praised by the judges for his Primal Crown self-portrait that references tribal Burmese ancestry and Papua New Guinea family history and upbringing.
