Putting Your Voice Into Action
The Your Voice Sample Survey was conducted in September 2012 to provide a snapshot of the opinion of University staff across a range of employee topics. 745 of all UoN staff were surveyed with 81 (11%) of those from FEDUA.
The FEDUA Your Voice Action Plan was developed following the release of survey results and discussion at Faculty Board, and contains a series of initiatives that will improve conditions for FEDUA staff.
The plan includes the following action items:
- Improve communication with staff by promoting better communications opportunities and actively registering staff feedback.
- Increase consultation with staff and encourage their involvement, particularly around decisions that may affect their day-to-day activities.
- Increase time and effort spent on career planning to ensure there are appropriate opportunities for career progression within UoN.
- Review recruitment and selection processes to ensure UoN and its leaders are clear about the types of people that are required and that the right people are matched with the right jobs.
