PVC update

Thank you to the many staff that took the time to attend PVC staff briefings over the last few weeks. It was good to meet with you all on an informal basis.  I aim to hold these meetings regularly so as to enable an ongoing dialogue.

It is excellent to see Education, English Language and Literature, Linguistics, and Sociology feature as 4 of the 10 UoN disciplines ranked in the top 200 in the latest QS World University Rankings. This achievement serves to encourage us in striving towards our Faculty Goal, namely:

'To be recognised in the top 10 nationally and in the top 200 globally, for teaching and research excellence in Creative Arts, Education, Humanities and Social Science'.

The FEDUA Corporate Plan and School Corporate Plans have now been finalised and over $700,000 NeW Directions funding has been awarded in response to the submission of a range of exciting and innovative Project Briefs from the Schools, Deputy Head of Faculty, and Assistant Deans. I will provide regular updates on these projects and all Faculty Corporate planning progress in relation to key strategies and KPIs over the coming months.
