Project Officer, Student Experience and
Student Liaison Officer for FEDUA Faculty Scholars Program
Generally what does your role involve?
My role as the Student Experience Project Officer supports the Director of Student Experience. I am responsible for assisting the Director on all FEDUA Education Action Plan Initiatives that involve improving the overall learning experiences of our first year students, as well as addressing student retention and attrition, and engaging students from low socio-economic backgrounds through HEPPP funded projects and Faculty support. This involves a range of activities from reviewing course documents against Faculty criteria, interpreting and summarising student performance statistics, setting up and maintaining Blackboard sites, and preparing proposals, budgets and reports.
I am a Member of the Faculty Teaching & Learning Committee and assist with arranging the Annual Program Convenor Retreat, Workshops and Leadership Luncheons. This is an interesting role that includes appraising venues, testing menus, designing flyers and programs, deciding on gifts and presentations, and caring for visitors and special guests.
As the Student Liaison Officer for the FEDUA Faculty Scholars Program, I am responsible for the overall pastoral care of the students, I either phone or email them on a regular basis to ensure they are on track with their studies and advise them of any events they may be interested in attending via the FEDUA Faculty Scholars Program Blackboard site.
I am also the Faculty Site Administrator for all our Program Blackboard Sites and Non-Teaching Course Sites.

I have worked at the University since 2006. I have previously worked as:
- Office & Visitor Relations Manager, Academic & Global Relations Division; and
- International Partnerships Officer, Faculty of Education and Arts.
