Best part of the job:  Being in the School of Creative Arts, I am very fortunate to experience the wonderful talent of staff and students through concerts, art exhibitions and performances.

Family:  Three furballs - Scarlett (the matriarch), my two 'boys' Minkie and Darcy and, oh I should mention my extremely patient husband, Cole.

Favourite weekend activity:  Spending the weekend anchored on Lake Macquarie with a good book and lots of chocolate.

Sports:  Running (my no. 1 passion), sailing, rowing and yoga.

Wildest desire:  To live in a studio apartment on the Upper Westside of New York.

Greatest achievement:  Running in the New York Marathon.

Favourite music:  Cuban, Queen, AC/DC, Bob Dylan, Supertramp.

Favourite holiday:  Cuba:  culturally rich, economically poor; mildew-encrusted but architecturally magnificent buildings; vibrant music; the challenge of navigating around a foreign country that does not believe in road signs; and especially the mojitos.
