Outreach to Future Students

The Faculty of Business and Law is committed to providing support, encouragement and inspiration to our future students in local and regional communities. The Faculty acknowledges that it has a responsibility to provide students who may not have access to higher education pathways with the information and support they need to identify and attain their future education goals. This support extends not only to our future student but also to parents, teachers, principals, community-based agencies, and local employers.

Over the coming months the Faculty of Business and Law will begin running a number of activities and initiatives aimed at reaching out to future students. The following list provides an indication of what can be expected in this space moving forward:

  • Run interactive activities within the school
  • Work with high schools on joint initiatives to support learning
  • Sponsor school and community-based initiatives that encourage promotion of higher education in High Schools
  • Develop relationships and strengthen dialogue with regional schools and campuses in regard to their engagement activity
  • Develop hard copy and online resources to help inform and guide students

If you have an idea to help support students or would like the faculty of Business and Law to get involved with your school or community group, contact Kevin Lyons at Kevin.Lyons@newcastle.edu.au
