Engaged Learning

Because we believe that learning shouldn't start at the lecture room door, nor end on graduation day, the Faculty of Business and Law is dedicated to creating engaged learners. An engaged learner understands that education is a life-long pursuit and that their career success is in their own hands. Creating opportunities for students to develop and enhance relationships that enable engaged learning is a key focus of the Faculty of Business and Law. Our goal is to ensure that our students are not only 'work-ready' upon graduating, but also that they have the skills to strategically plan their career and market themselves effectively.

Owning and managing their learning, professional and personal life well beyond graduation is a hallmark of the Faculty's engaged student.

Our encouragement of engaged learning includes a full complement of measurably effective motivational activities including:

• the implementation of innovative teaching and learning strategies
• helping to create scholarship opportunities that are mutually beneficial for students and industry sponsors
