Community Partnerships

Being present and engaged with local and regional communities is an essential part of the Faculty of Business and Law's mission. By developing and utilising our resources the Faculty is able to serve and support the communities with which we are intrinsically connected.

Working closely with our communities, the Faculty seeks to engage and create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships that enhance the relationships that are so essential to strong, vibrant communities. With strong communities comes growth and opportunities which benefit its members both now and into the future.

As part of our goal to develop and maintain our community partnerships the Faculty implements, amongst others, the following strategies:

• To identify and support those communities which help create our local and regional identity
• Continue to maintain opportunities for engagement that will facilitate relationships/ partnerships with the community
• To continue to do research and teaching that is relevant to the community
• Recognise, reward and support staff excellence in community engagement
