About the Faculty

By studying in the Faculty of Business and Law at Newcastle you will be exposed to cutting-edge and world-class thinking while working with internationally renowned researchers who are at the forefront in their field of expertise. Staff in the faculty regularly publish in top-ranked international journals and present at international conferences. Many are also involved in international research collaborations with researchers in top universities worldwide including the USA, UK, Germany and China.

In addition to research conducted within our Schools of Business and Law, the Centre for Institutional and Organisational and Studies, provides significant support to encourage a collaborative environment for staff and research students to undertake interdisciplinary research which draws on research strengths across the faculty.

The faculty has extensive links with the local business community as well many important national and international organisations including major corporations, government and leading professional bodies. Through our interactions with business, government, the professions and NGOs, we bring real-world issues into our research and teaching programs. Our close links are demonstrated through scholarships, collaborative research, professional consulting, and involvement with national and international professional bodies.
