Research Showcase

The Faculty's annual Research Poster Showcase took an innovative turn this year. It was the opening event for week-long 'Create 2308 -Festival of Innovation and Creativity' and it was held at the University Gallery where it remains for a fortnight on exhibition. The opening on 16 September was highly successful with over 100 attendees. PVC, Professor Richard Dunford gave the welcome and DVC Professor Nick Tally announced the poster winners. PhD (Management) student Joyce Klien Marodin won both the People's choice and Best RHD Prize for her poster on organisation learning while Stacey Baxter and Aleisha Perkins won the Packers' Prize for their poster on children's marketing.

The 35 posters covered the Faculty's diverse disciplines with particularly good representation from Law, Politics, Finance and Tourism. A highlight of the opening was the presence of 'word hurlers' who hurled poetry at the audience based on themes from the posters.
