Above and Beyond the Call of Duty - Academics receive prestigious awards

The Faculty of Business and Law would like to congratulate the following academics for being recognised in the Australian College of Educators Teacher Recognition Awards.

The Australian College of Educators Teacher Recognition Awards are student driven with each nominee requiring at least 3 students to indicate why the person nominated is supporting students "above and beyond the call of duty". The formal awards will be give to our colleagues at an Australian College of Educators ceremony at Newcastle Town Hall on 3 November at 6.00 pm. Recognising Quality Teaching - academics receive VC citations

The Faculty of Business and Law would like to congratulate the following academics for being recognised in the Vice-Chancellor's Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning for 2009.

  • Johanna Macneil
    For successfully integrating problem-based learning into graduate and executive Human Resource Management courses, thereby enhancing student engagement, professional knowledge and an appreciation for plural perspectives.
  • Brendon Murphy
    For developing an approach to teaching and learning in criminal law that recognises the unique needs of students in transition.
