Faculty signs agreement with Business Women Connect (BWC)
On Wednesday the 8th of February, Associate Professor Kevin Lyons, Dr Lisa Barnes, Anne Sullivan and Matthew Griffin represented the Faculty at the signing of a mutually beneficial agreement with Business Women Connect. Business Women Connect provides business women on the Central Coast with the ultimate forum to facilitate business and personal development.
The event was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Terrigal and was attended by a diverse range of professionals from the Central Coast region. The agreement formalises a connection between the Faculty of Business and Law and the BWC which aims to establish a more formal path to providing our students at Ourimbah campus with more Work Integrated Learning opportunities both on Campus and through placements.
Another aim of this agreement will be providing Business and Commerce students from Ourimbah campus with opportunities to work with mentors in the workforce through the LUCY program. The Lucy Program is an innovative leadership program aimed at women in university studying business, commerce and law. The Program aims to inspire, motivate and educate women about the opportunities available for employment and leadership in the corporate and public sectors.
