2010 Prize Giving Ceremony

On Tuesday 18 May 2010, Professor Stephen Nicholas, PVC, Faculty of Business and Law welcomed over 280 students, academics, sponsors, family and friends to the Faculty's Annual Prize Giving Ceremony.

The Prize Giving Ceremony is a celebration of scholarly success, recognising the outstanding performance of the Faculty's students in their academic programs in 2009.

Prizes are awarded for high academic performance, some having been established to remember a valued person while others have been created by local and national businesses and organisations to encourage students in particular areas of study. All prizes are valued by the Faculty as a statement of support for its students and by the recipient, not only for the monetary value, but also for the recognition it offers for their achievement.

We were pleased to welcome many of our prize donors who attended to present awards. Their attendance highlights the community's commitment to academic excellence. It also reflects the support that the community, especially the business community and legal professions of Newcastle, the Hunter, and the Central Coast provide the Faculty.

The Faculty acknowledges the generosity of all our donors. Our congratulations go to all our recipients on their awards and their academic achievements.
