Short Course Description

Increasingly, project management methodology is being adopted as a way of achieving the strategic goals of the organisation. More and more initiatives, whether they be Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology, New Product / Service Development or Conferences and sporting "events", are being "project managed".
This course introduces the technical, organisational and personal skills needed to manage complex projects in unstable, changeable environments.

Concepts covered include integration of organisational strategy and projects, selection of projects, project management tools and techniques and interpersonal, management and leadership skills required for effective project management. Other areas include project management systems, resource scheduling, risk assessment, team selection and team building, performance and progress measurement and finally, project audit, evaluation and closure.
