Bachelor of Applied Information Technology (Ourimbah Campus)

Image: Bachelor of Applied ITOn completion of the degree your choice of careers is wide open. As a graduate with two specialisations you will be qualified to access positions in a wider range of fields than graduates with just a single area of study. You have the choice of working solely in information technology, in your second field of study, or in a job that combines both. This program is particularly suited for students who wish to gain credit for existing TAFE qualifications in Information Technology.
Field choices include programmer, systems analyst, business analyst, help desk support, applications developer analyst, information analyst.

Bachelor of Communication

Bachelor of CommunicationsCareer opportunities for graduates include industries such as broadcasting, corporate communications, marketing and public relations, journalism and education. They may seek work as researchers, writers, and producers of video and radio programs, as journalist and photojournalists and as magazine and advertising copywriters. Graduates have also been successful in securing employment in media liaison or public relations units of large corporate organisations.

Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication)

Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication)
Visual Communication graduates are involved in the development of design for advertising material for print, film, theatre, television and in the making of digital media, illustration, corporate graphics, publishing, packaging, signage and event promotions.
Bachelor of Development Studies

Bachelor of Development Studies
Career opportunities include policy formulation and implementation, field investigations and administration of development matters. Potential employers are government departments, aid agencies, non-government organisations and a growing number of international corporations.
Bachelor of Environmental Science

Bachelor of Environmental Science
Graduates in Environmental Science may find employment in areas such as:
 
Local, state and federal governments in a wide range of environmental fields;

Government and semi-government environmental management units (forestry, electricity supply, water and irrigation supply, soil conservation, national parks and wildlife services, total catchment management);

National and state mapping authorities (computer-based data processing activity, aerial field surveys);

Tourism bodies (tourism based research and planning, consultancy, transport planning, recreation planning);

Consultancies (environmental impact statement preparation, planning activities);

International agencies (international aid and development projects);

Educational institutions (primary, secondary and tertiary education in science with further studies);

Natural History Illustrators are generally specialists who work in the publishing, display or exhibition fields. Bachelor of Mathematics

Bachelor of Mathematics

Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology)

Bachelor of Science (Biotechnology)
This program will prepare students for employment in biomedical research, pathology laboratories, biotechnology industries, bio-analytical laboratories in government and industry, reproductive biology industries and a range of veterinary and agricultural support industries as well as the legal profession as it pertains to this industry and government support and regulatory agencies.
Bachelor of Science (Food Technology) (Ourimbah Campus)

Bachelor of Food Technology
Career opportunities may include food product development, quality control, food plant management, food research, sensory evaluation, food analysis, food service and biotechnology.
There are also a range of technical and administrative positions within government departments in the areas of food analysis, food safety and pollution control.
Bachelor of Science (Photonics)
Companies need graduates to design, manufacture and test equipment. By 2006, at least 700 graduates will be required per year by the Australian and international photonics industry - companies such as Telstra, Siemens, Ericsson, ADC/AOFT and JDS-Uniphase. As the average life of a photonic product is 6 months, the industry must continually innovate!
