Admission Requirements

Assumed knowledge and recommended prior studies are listed below. There are no compulsory prerequisites for first year programs within the Faculty.

Biology	(R)	Chemistry and Mathematics. Students are also advised to include CHEM1010 and CHEM1020 in their academic program.
Chemistry	(R)	Chemistry and Mathematics.
Geography	(R)	HSC study of Geography or a Social Science or a Natural Science is desirable but not essential.
Geology	(R)	Mathematics.
Mathematics 1110	(A)	HSC Mathematics (Bands 5 or 6) or HSC Mathematics Extension 1 (Bands 1, 2 or 3) or (prior to 2001) 2 Unit HSC Mathematics (Advisory 65/100) or MATH1100.
Mathematics 1210	(A)	HSC Mathematics Extension 2 or HSC Mathematics Extension 1 (Band 4) or (prior to 2001) 3 Unit HSC Mathematics with a mark of at least 120/150.
Physics 1200	(A)	Advisory entry requirement: HSC Mathematics with a result in Bands 5 or 6 or (prior to 2001) HSC 2 Unit Mathematics with a result in the top 30% of candidature or equivalent or MATH110.
Physics 1210	(A)	Advisory entry requirement HSC Mathematics Extension 1 (Bands 3 or 4). HSC Physics (Bands 5 or 6) also recommended. (Prior to 2001: HSC 3 Unit Mathematics with a mark of at least 110/150. Also recommended 2 Unit Physics or 4 Unit Science with a performance in the top 50% of the candidature for these courses).
Psychology	(R)	Mathematics.
Sustainable Resource Management (Central Coast)	(R)	Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
