Physiotherapy
Overview
In conjunction with the UDRH, physiotherapy students studying at the University of Newcastle are able to complete clinical placements across Northern NSW and the Mid North Coast.
About the Placements
A range of unit types are available dependent on the time of year. These may include cardiopulmonary, musculoskeletal, neurology, paediatric and elective placements. Units may be available in a range of facilities from Rural Referral Hospitals to District Hospitals, government agencies and private practices.
Generally, the clinical units are of four weeks duration. Northern NSW boasts friendly country atmospheres and comfortable, modern, accommodation all within walking distance of hospitals and town facilities. The Mid North Coast offers great beaches, the beautiful Manning River and the Historic town of Wingham to name but a few attractions. Accommodation is available within walking distance to Manning Rural Referral Hospital.
