Industrial Design Project - Magazine RackArticulation from TAFE to university is a common pathway that enables qualified people to obtain further qualifications and professional recognition.

The Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment grants credit for TAFE studies in all its undergraduate degree programs. The amount of credit awarded depends on a number of factors such as whether the qualification is complete and relevant to the program you want to study.

If you are a TAFE student wishing to apply for a course at the University of Newcastle and you also wish to apply for credit, the two applications are separate. Even if you have TAFE qualifications, and think you are eligible for credit, you must first gain entry to the University program.

Applying for Credit

Applications for credit can be made at anytime, even after you have started at the University. However, it's a good idea to know what you have to study at University before you begin. So you should apply at the same time you submit your UAC application. You can obtain  Application Forms Online or from one of the Student Hubs.
