The Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment has a Dean of Architecture and a Dean of Engineering.
The Faculty recognises the achievement of those undergraduate Architecture, Construction Management (Building) and Industrial Design students who, having enrolled in at least 20 units for the academic year, have achieved a cumulative GPA of 6.0 at the conclusion of the academic year, by including the student's name on the Dean's Merit List. Students must also have achieved a semester GPA of 6.0 or more in each semester of that academic year. The award is available to students who are enrolled in a combined degree.
A Head of School may recommend to the Dean of Architecture that a student who has achieved GPAs of other than those indicated above be included on the Dean's Merit List or that a particular student not be included on the Dean's Merit List. In such cases the Dean may either include a student on the Dean's Merit List in accordance with the recommendation of the Head of School or in accordance with the criteria detailed above.
Awarded to all graduating undergraduate students enrolled in any of the Architecture, Construction Management (Building) and Industrial Design programs who achieve a cumulative GPA of 6.5 or above. The award of Dean's Medal is noted on the student's academic record. The award is available to students who are enrolled in a combined degree.
A Dean's Medallist may also be a University Medallist.

The Faculty recognises the achievement of those undergraduate Engineering, Surveying and Computer Science students who, having completed at least 80 units of their course (or at least 60 units if they have been granted credit), have attained a cumulative WAM of 77 or more at the conclusion of the academic year, by including the student's name on the Dean's Merit List. Students must also have achieved a term WAM of 70 or more in each semester or trimester of that academic year. The award is noted on the student's academic record. The award is also available to all students who are enrolled in a combined degree.

The AW Roberts Medallion is awarded annually to the student enrolled in an undergraduate Engineering, Surveying or Computer Science degree who: appears on the Dean's Merit List; hasachieved the highest cumulative WAM at the conclusion of the academic year, and has not previously been awarded the AW Robert Medallion. The award is noted on the student's academic record.
The AW Roberts Medallion for Continuing Academic Excellence is awarded annually to previous recipients of the AW Roberts Medallion who continue to achieve a cumulative WAM of 90 or greater at the conclusion of the academic year. The award is noted on the student's record.
The Dean's Medal is awarded to all graduating undergraduate students enrolled in either of the Engineering and Surveying programs who achieve a cumulative Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 85 or above.
A Dean's Medallist may also be a University Medallist.
