Overview

Excellence in research is central to Newcastle University’s mission and the University is consistently ranked in the top 10 of universities in Australia for its research effort and outcomes. One of the main strengths of the Faculty is the contribution it has made to the economic, cultural and social health of our community. Additionally, Education and Arts has renowned research strength in areas such as cultural studies, aboriginal and indigenous studies, history, and education. Home to seven research centres the Faculty has a strong history of collaborative, interdisciplinary, and innovative research.
