Women in Innovation: The Sponsor Effect
Monday, 22 May 2017, 05:00 pm — Monday, 22 May 2017, 07:30 pm
The University of Newcastle continues to be a proud supporter of the Hunter Innovation Festival in 2017 and this year we are pleased to sponsor the signature ‘Women in Innovation’ event.
An expanded program of events and workshops at the 2017 Hunter Innovation Festival (17-26 May) is guaranteed to engage and inspire Hunter business, industry and community to act on advances in technology and thinking.
A favourite event on the Hunter Innovation Festival calendar, this year’s Women in Innovation panel is designed to provoke debate around whether women with sponsors are more likely to succeed in Australia’s innovation ecosystem.
This panel discussion will feature prominent women from the Hunter region and beyond who are leaders in their areas of expertise including:
- Dr Sarah Pearson, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Industry Engagement & Innovation), UON
- Liza Noonan, Executive Manager of Innovation, CSIRO
- Cheryl Royle, Hunter Entrepreneurship Facilitator and Managing Director, The Finer Line
- Yolanda Surjan, Senior Lecturer, UON, Founder of RadVet and On Accelerator’s 'Breakout Female Scientist'
When: Monday 22 May, 5 - 7:30pm
Where: Crown Plaza, Wharf Rd, Newcastle
We hope you can make it to this key event on the Hunter Innovation Calendar.
