Anna Godfrey from Raw Innovation has a reputation for getting ‘innovation’ DONE! Her love for business and big ideas began in the Advertising Industry, working with DDB Sydney & Chicago as well as Clemenger BBDO where she mastered the art of creating and selling big ideas. During her ten years as Director of Innovation at McDonald’s, Anna developed a number of global big hitters for the company, such as the Angus Beef burger, product launches including the Frappe and Smoothie range, and the global McCafe strategy which left Australia’s shores and was rolled out across the rest of the world. Now based in Taree, she joined startup Raw Innovation in 2013 and works with businesses to open up their sources of innovation. Raw works under the notion that creativity and innovation isn’t just contained to the creative departments, and that many companies may be missing out on the impressive ideas. Come along and hear about her transition from senior executive in a multi-national to learning a bunch of new skills in a startup environment.
About Startup Stories
Startup Stories takes place every Thursday from 1pm at University of Newcastle's coworking space Three76 Hub on Hunter Street. Over BYO lunch, a startup founder talks candidly about their experience as an entrepreneur and business owner – the highs, the lows, the wins, the mistakes, the whole enchilada. Startup Stories provides real-life examples of the different stages of the startup journey, creating a forum for startups to share and learn but also for the community to see tangible evidence of entrepreneurship making a difference in our region.
UON is proud to be able to bring this event to you via the NSW State Government's Boosting Business Innovation Program funding.
