Definiti

Brad Woollett is Managing Director of Definiti – a Newcastle-founded software company with a team of 25 people focused on creating and delivering awesome business solutions and applications. Definiti began its life in 1997 as a team within CSA which was then spun-out into a separate company, so Brad knows both the intrapreneur and entrepreneur pathways to innovation.

Over the years Definiti has refined its business model beyond those early days and Brad now refers to the company as a ‘mature aged startup’ – still passionate and excited about new product and service development and having found a particular niche in developing custom intranet solutions for clients around Australia. Throughout the various stages of Definiti’s journey Brad has drawn on his past experience working for major corporations both here and overseas including Visy, Philips, and the BBC. These various roles have given Brad big corporation experience and training which is pragmatically applied in Definiti.

Come along to Startup Stories to hear from this Novocastrian born and bred entrepreneur who has a real passion for jobs creation in the Hunter region.

About Startup Stories

Startup Stories takes place every Thursday from 1pm at University of Newcastle's coworking space Three76 Hub on Hunter Street. Over BYO lunch, a startup founder talks candidly about their experience as an entrepreneur and business owner – the highs, the lows, the wins, the mistakes, the whole enchilada. Startup Stories provides real-life examples of the different stages of the startup journey, creating a forum for startups to share and learn but also for the community to see tangible evidence of entrepreneurship making a difference in our region.
