Introduction to RIMS (Research Information Management System) and eForms
The Research Information Management System (RIMS) is a centralised and linked database of all funded research projects and ethically approved protocols. RIMS can be accessed on and off campus using your normal University of Newcastle numberplate and password. Once you have successfully logged in, you will have access to all of your existing funded research projects and ethics protocols and you will have the ability to submit new applications via an electronic form. RIMS will provide you with transparent access to your research administration information, which will enable you to manage your projects from anywhere, any time.
The training will cover the following topics:
- How to find RIMS and how to log in
- How to navigate the system and identify the modules such as My Human Ethics, My Animal Use and My Proposals
- How to find and view research project proposals and ethics protocol
- How to submit a new ethics protocol for Human and Animal Ethics
