Book launch celebration
Please join us to celebrate the launch of Changing Pedagogical Spaces in Higher Education: Diversity, Inequalities and Misrecognition.
Written by Professor Penny Jane Burke along with colleagues Professor Gill Crozier and Dr Lauren Ila Misiaszek, this book speaks to those concerned with how theory relates to everyday practices and development of teaching in higher education.
Professor Liz Burd (UON) and Professor Sue Webb from Monash University will launch the book and deliver a short address on how it can contribute to broader widening participation policy agendas and help to reconceptualise widening participation practices in higher education.
Copies of the book will be available to purchase on the evening.
Drinks and canapes will be supplied from 5pm in the Purdue Room, University of Newcastle, Callaghan. Please inform us of any dietary requirements during registration.
Professor Burke talks about her new book in an interview with Society for Research into Higher Education News Editor, Professor Rob Cuthbert.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
