ATSIRIC TileThe Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Innovation Cluster (ATSIRIC) seeks to facilitate a united research partnership between members of the University of Newcastle, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and relevant health and community organisations in order to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The ATSIRIC Information and Planning day will be an opportunity to come and join the discussion on issues that are important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and to help shape the future direction of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research and Innovation Cluster.

Program

10.00am - 11.00am Welcome from Professor Caroline McMillen (Vice-Chancellor) and Professor Peter Radoll (Dean of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education and Research)
11.00am - 12.15pm Key issues affecting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and engaging with communities
12.15pm - 1.30pm Lunch and book promotion Music Endangerment by Catherine Grant, School of Creative Arts, Faculty of Education & Arts
1.30pm - 2.30pm Concurrent Men's Discussion Group; Women's Discussion Group; and Health Discussion Group
2.30pm - 3.00pm Conclusion – next steps for the Cluster
