Refugee Week provides a platform where positive images of refugees can be promoted in order to create a culture of welcome throughout the country. Our ultimate aim is to facilitate better understanding between different communities and encourage successful integration, enabling refugees to live in safety and to continue making a valuable contribution to Australia.

This year, the theme for Refugee Week is With courage let us all combine. The program at UON is a collaborative venture between staff and students, Student Central, NUPSA, and NUSA, in partnership with students from refugee backgrounds.

Refugee Week is an opportunity to strengthen cross-cultural relationships, listen to the lived experiences of refugees and asylum-seekers, and celebrate their culture. Events will run from June 20-22 at Callaghan campus. Save the date!
