KIDS DAY OUT: UON innovation improves health and well-being of young families

Our communities are at the heart of our research solutions and at Kids Day Out, The University of Newcastle will be sharing information on the programs, tools and preventative strategies developed by our world leading nutrition and dietetics team that can improve the health and well-being of your family.
The Central Coast Kids Day Out is a fun and educational day for young families, with a focus on the health and welfare of children.
Visit our stand and be part of world-leading research undertaken by Professor Clare Collins, where you take the Healthy Eating Quiz and discover how healthy your diet really is. This five minute quiz can assist you in improving your eating behaviours and give you suggestions for ways to increase the variety of foods in your diet.
Learn how your school-aged child can be involved in the Back to Basics Cooking Club and Healthy Lifestyle Program, a children’s cooking activity run through local schools, and pick up some kid-friendly recipes, that the whole family will love.
