In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Wollotuka Institute, UON Central Coast and the Wollotuka Institute welcomes you to our fifth annual Smarter Central Coast Education and Training Lecture and Forum.
Our keynote speaker Michael Donovan is passionate about engaging Aboriginal students in education. He is a Lecturer at the UON's Wollotuka Institute and has worked in Aboriginal education in schools and university since 1992. In recognition of his involvement, Michael was recently invested as a life member of the NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG). Michael is currently completing his PhD examining the question; what form(s) of pedagogy are necessary for increasing the engagement of Aboriginal school students?
Following the lecture a guest panel will join Michael to engage in discussion on Aboriginal student participation in education and training on the Central Coast.
