schools visit day

On Wednesday 16 July, more than 2,000 senior high school students will be visiting Callaghan campus for our annual Newcastle Schools Visit Day. Schools Visit Day is an opportunity for students to get a taste for uni life and experience the degrees on offer at UON. Academics and current students will be running presentations and campus tours throughout the day to give students all the information they need to choose the right degree.

A mini-expo will be held in the McLarty Room so students can explore study options, alternative pathways such as Newstep, accommodation options, overseas study opportunities, and life on campus.

While students are exploring our world-class uni, Careers Advisers from across the region will be participating in a Careers Advisers Workshop. Here they will hear presentations from faculty members, academics and representatives from across the university. The day provides an excellent opportunity for building closer relationships between UON and our feeder schools.

Schools Visit Day is an integral part of UON's student recruitment program, and has traditionally been a great success.
