Matina Jewell on 'Courage'
The closing keynote address of the Curious.Collaborative.Courageous Staff Conference will be delivered by Matina Jewell, one of the most decorated females in Australian military history.
About the keynote
Matina will deliver a very powerful message on the topic Courageous. She has a fascinating perspective through her stories, backed up with engaging real life footage. She is an expert in embracing bold thinking, empowerment, taking risks and using initiative to find solutions, and ultimately in being courageous on all fronts. Matina is well in tune with being a ‘team player’ in an environment with unforeseen change, and has real experience in adapting and responding to foreign circumstances.
About the speaker
During her 15 year military career, best selling author Matina Jewell tracked down war lords, worked with the US navy seals, fast roped out of helicopters onto ships, and successfully led a UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon where she found herself thrown into the middle of a devastating war.
Matina’s lessons of resilience and leadership have transformed some of the country’s biggest companies and her message of courage continues to empower leaders from all walks of life. Her story has audiences on their feet time and time again.
With enthralling footage, stories of hardship and valuable learning from her many life-threatening missions Matina will take you on a journey that will affect long lasting positive change in your leaders, teams and organizations for years to come
